Old friends out last their usefulness

December 19, 2010

It’s winter time in NE Ohio!  We got pummeled with 30″ of snow last week, followed by rain on Saturday only to have it dump 18″ on us since Monday and its still coming down!

Winter is a great time to review your goals, enjoy your accomplishments of the year, set some new goals and ponder what you’d like to do differently in the New Year.  It’s also a great time to reflect on what is important, notice what you’ve released, and rejoice in how far you’ve come!

I opened a gift yesterday!  One that sat on my bookshelf for several years all wrapped in beautiful paper with a big bow on top!  The first year it peered at me and I thought about it a lot.  I wanted to unwrap it and dig out the gift, but (more…)

Blessings

December 23, 2009

As we celebrate the beauty of the holiday and bring 2009 to a close, I encourage you to embrace the joys of the year, release the wounds of the past to the universe for healing, and open your arms wide to happiness and abundance in the New Year.

I share with you the words of “The Greatest Gifts” with the desire for you to embrace and allow them to be alive in you now and throughout the New Year.

May we break boundaries, tear down walls, and build on the foundation of goodness inside each of us.

May we look past differences, gain understanding, and embrace acceptance. (more…)

What's holding you back?

September 1, 2009

I’ve heard many times from friends, family and clients that they wish they could change.  My response to all of them is “What’s holding you back?”  Well, when I’m talking with friends and family I try not to put on my “coaching hat,” but with clients that’s what they want from me.  To push them into thinking differently and explore what is holding them back from changing, getting more out of their lives, sorting out their dreams and goals, pushing them into developing an action plan, supporting behavioral changes, and being with them as they move their goals into reality. Birthing the Rattles

July 28, 2009

In preparation for birthing my rattles, my spiritual guidance surrounded me.  I had been given the vision of birthing the rattles during a sacred fire ceremony which would take place with a circle of women whom I’d been doing shamanic journeys with for 5 weeks.

As I gathered wood for our fire ceremony I received several messages (I’ve heard some people do not trust in what they hear for they believe it is themselves talking or something their mind makes up.  For me and many people, it is the voice of creator, spirit, God, what ever you choose to call a Higher Power.  I trust the voice I hear to guide my journey in life).  (more…)

Decorating my Rattles

July 21, 2009

Meaning making of decorating my rattles was a profound as making the heads were.  My rattles are similar in their decorations but hold very different meanings.  Both have deer hooves as the handles.  The masculine deer hoof is scared, wounded and even had some fur coming off in the process of the making because it had not dried properly.  (more…)

My journey to Feminine healing…

June 9, 2009

In my May 19th posting “Re-Claiming my Feminine side” I talked about my journey in discovering that through a divorce years ago I had pushed my feminine side deeper within to a near non-existent state.  At that time I felt that I had reclaimed a part of me that had been on a long vacation and it did feel that way on that day. (more…)

A Journey to Finding the Joy in Life

May 26, 2009

Books bring new insights, and at times stir something deep within us.  That is my reaction to “The Shack” by Wm. Paul Young.  The story is filled with sorrow and pain, disbelief, wonderment, beauty, joy and happiness of one mans life. (more…)

Re-Claiming My Feminine Side

May 19, 2009

The awareness last week of pushing my feminine side down, not allowing it to surface or be fully embraced for so many years has pushed me deeper into the knowing and understanding of my life.  (more…)

Weeding My Emotional Garden

May 12, 2009

What I heard loud and clear in the weeding of my flowerbed by the strong and gentle pine was that I had not recovered the loss of my deepest feminine side of who I am and who I want to be.  So with each weed I pulled, with each root I dug from the earth.. (more…)

Abuse is on the rise, know what to look for!

April 27, 2009

Our tough economic times are bringing out stress and extreme behaviors.  You read it in the paper every day… if you can find it through the massive articles about foreclosures, stockmarket decline and the rising unemployment.  Spouses are shooting whole families then turning the guy on themselves. Robberies are rampant. Emotional, Verbal, Physical, Sexual, Child, Teen, and Elderly abuse is on the rise. (more…)
