Old friends out last their usefulness

December 19, 2010

It’s winter time in NE Ohio!  We got pummeled with 30″ of snow last week, followed by rain on Saturday only to have it dump 18″ on us since Monday and its still coming down!

Winter is a great time to review your goals, enjoy your accomplishments of the year, set some new goals and ponder what you’d like to do differently in the New Year.  It’s also a great time to reflect on what is important, notice what you’ve released, and rejoice in how far you’ve come!

I opened a gift yesterday!  One that sat on my bookshelf for several years all wrapped in beautiful paper with a big bow on top!  The first year it peered at me and I thought about it a lot.  I wanted to unwrap it and dig out the gift, but (more…)

As the New Year came ringing in I was blessed to have received approval of my Professional Coaching Certification through the International Coach Federation

Many of you were a part of my journey to completing the International Gestalt Coach Training Program, taking the test, were a part of the coaching requirement (750+ logged coaching hours), and the application process.  (more…)

December 23, 2009

As we celebrate the beauty of the holiday and bring 2009 to a close, I encourage you to embrace the joys of the year, release the wounds of the past to the universe for healing, and open your arms wide to happiness and abundance in the New Year.

I share with you the words of “The Greatest Gifts” with the desire for you to embrace and allow them to be alive in you now and throughout the New Year.

May we break boundaries, tear down walls, and build on the foundation of goodness inside each of us.

May we look past differences, gain understanding, and embrace acceptance. (more…)

Healing power of horses

November 17, 2009

Jaycee Dugard was kidnapped 18 years ago, she suffered tremendous abuse at the hands of her abductors , and is using the power of horses to heal.

Those of us who introduce horses to people through Equine Assisted Learning, Coaching, Leadership, workshops or Therapy know the changes and empowerment people experience in the presence of these magnificent animals. (more…)

Inspiration in a home run!

November 10, 2009

Turn on the news and what do you see and hear?  Another robbery?  Child abduction?  More layoffs?  Plant closings?  More jobs lost or homes being foreclosed on?  It can be down right depressing to hear all the negative things going on in the world today.

Wouldn’t it be great to hear of the good things happening?  All the hundreds and thousands of people giving of their time to feed those in need.  To hear about the father (more…)

Birthing the Rattles

July 28, 2009

In preparation for birthing my rattles, my spiritual guidance surrounded me.  I had been given the vision of birthing the rattles during a sacred fire ceremony which would take place with a circle of women whom I’d been doing shamanic journeys with for 5 weeks.

As I gathered wood for our fire ceremony I received several messages (I’ve heard some people do not trust in what they hear for they believe it is themselves talking or something their mind makes up.  For me and many people, it is the voice of creator, spirit, God, what ever you choose to call a Higher Power.  I trust the voice I hear to guide my journey in life).  (more…)

Decorating my Rattles

July 21, 2009

Meaning making of decorating my rattles was a profound as making the heads were.  My rattles are similar in their decorations but hold very different meanings.  Both have deer hooves as the handles.  The masculine deer hoof is scared, wounded and even had some fur coming off in the process of the making because it had not dried properly.  (more…)

Feminine healing continues…

June 16, 2009

As I continue my journey to heal the wounded feminine side of myself, my rattle making took on new meaning.

In working with my feminine rattle head, the stitching done first was loose and incomplete.  I needed to make the stitching closer together in order to hold the items that would make the beautiful sound of the rattle.  (more…)

My journey to Feminine healing…

June 9, 2009

In my May 19th posting “Re-Claiming my Feminine side” I talked about my journey in discovering that through a divorce years ago I had pushed my feminine side deeper within to a near non-existent state.  At that time I felt that I had reclaimed a part of me that had been on a long vacation and it did feel that way on that day. A Journey to Finding the Joy in Life

May 26, 2009

Books bring new insights, and at times stir something deep within us.  That is my reaction to “The Shack” by Wm. Paul Young.  The story is filled with sorrow and pain, disbelief, wonderment, beauty, joy and happiness of one mans life. (more…)
