Sue E. Thomas founded LeadershipEAD, LLC (Leadership Equine Assisted Development or L-E-A-D) in 1999.  She has over 26 years of business experience, 18 years of equine experience and 16 years of Human Resource Management.  Sue possesses an in-depth knowledge of human interaction and team dynamics.  She has extensive skills in organizational development, leadership development, connecting people to their vision and values, facilitation and executive coaching.  Through her vast business knowledge, she has successfully guided clients through various projects such as:

Sue combined her business knowledge and experience with her passion for horses to develop an unconventional approach to leadership, team development, communication, and coaching.  L-E-A-D utilizes the power of horses in a unique experiential approach to skills development.  Working with the horses promotes individual and/or group growth, awareness, and the opportunity to change limiting behaviors that provide bottom line business and personal results.  Sue has developed a variety of workshops using the horses that can be customized to the goals of an organization or team; as well as individual coaching sessions to obtain specific outcomes.

Prior to founding LeadershipEAD, LLC, Sue was Vice President of manufacturing company where she managed the human resource and information systems departments and provided extensive coaching to general managers regarding organizational development initiatives.  She was instrumental in creating a culture that embraced employee empowerment and continuous improvement. 


Sue’s mission is to inspire and nurture growth in individuals and organizations to reach their potential with integrity, respect, trust and honesty!


Sue and her husband live in Mantua, Ohio on a 40-acre farm shared by their Tennessee Walkers, barn cats and their fun loving Golden Retrievers, Dr. Indiana Jones and Rascal Cinnabear the Great, aka, Indy & Rascal!
