The Four-Fold Way

Please join our circle as we explore the archetypes of the Warrior, Teacher, Healer, and Visionary through shamanic journeywork and other meditative techniques.

The work in the circle will be based on the teachings in the book The Fourfold Way: Walking the Paths of the Warrior, Teacher, Healer and Visionary, by Angeles Arrien.

No experience in shamanic journeywork is necessary, as we will go over the basics in the first gathering. This is not a book study in the traditional sense, but rather an experiential circle in which we will explore our environment and our own inner nature through these four basic archetypes. It is recommended that you obtain the book and read it during the 6 weeks that we are gathered, though that is not mandatory.

Please bring a blanket, eye covering, journal, pen and colored pencils to each class. Journeywork is traditionally done while lying on the floor, if that is comfortable for you. (If this is not comfortable, other accommodations will be made.)
